This week I am super excited to share with you a very special homemade soothing lotion for itchy skin you can make at home. If you or someone you love has super itchy spots that won’t seem to go away, this may help! We are talking serious relief!!
This is one powerful cream that you can also use as a daily super moisturizer for cracked feet, and any “problem” areas like redness, dryness, or itchiness.
A sweet lady from one of my yoga classes shared a little jar of this cream with me. Her husband, who also attended my classes is a chemist and loves to make natural soaps and lotions. I think they should sell this stuff!! My husband applied it to his itchy patches that always bother him and found it so helpful he asked if I could make it.
She kindly gave me the recipe. She calls it “Jack’s Wonder Lotion”.
I added my own touch by adding 20 drops of pure doTERRA Lavender oil. Lavender oil is a Beautiful oil with so many benefits it’s hard to know where to start.
Lavender is calming and nurturing to upset skin and helps relieve itchiness. You could also add other essential oils of your choice to your lotion. Other oils that are excellent for skin are Geranium, Rose, Chamomile, and Frankincense.
When adding essential oils to your homemade remedies make sure you are using the purest oil you can find. There are many with synthetics and will not be as effective.
