In this weeks baby step for better health, I share 3 reasons why fresh flowers in our work or living space are good for our mental health.
5 Tips For Making Your Fresh Flowers Last Longer
Remove all excess leaves and stems that will be underwater when placed in your vase. Cut the ends at a 45 degree angle with a sharp non-serrated knife and place in water as soon as possible.
Use cold water, as placing flowers in lukewarm water can dehydrate them.
Re-cut the ends of the stems every few days. Change out the water at least every other day.
Add 2 tablespoons white sugar and 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar as food for the flowers to refresh every few days.
Avoid direct sunlight, heat and fans.
