5 Tips to a Better Night’s Sleep

Exercise

Exercise during the day. Exercise improves sleep! It strengthens our circadian rhythms, promoting daytime alertness and bringing on sleepiness at night.

Limit Caffeine Late In The Day

Don’t consume caffeine late in the day. In one study, consuming caffeine up to 6 hours before sleep worsened sleep quality significantly. Also, dark chocolate has a high amount of caffeine so make sure you eat your chocolate no later than 4pm:)

Remove Technology From the Bedroom

Remove your technology out of the bedroom. Put your phone on silence and turn off noisy notifications at least an hour before bed.

Nighttime Tea

Drink an herbal “nighttime” tea with sleep inducing herbs such as Traditional Medicinals Nighty Night with Valerian, or SleepyTime tea.

Try Using Essential Oils

There are many essential oils that can help you to relax and have a great night’s sleep.

Try bringing some Lavender into the bedroom!

Lavender is calming and soothing and helps calm a busy mind and get a better night’s sleep. Try diffusing lavender oil into the bedroom or adding a few drops to a hot bath. Sweet dreams:)
