Simple Drink For A Flatter Tummy

It was a moment that you never forget. I was shopping at Target and a sweet lady asked me, “how far along are you”?

When I told her I was not pregnant, she looked so upset embarrassed and shuffled away.

How could I blame her? My tummy did look like I was about 4 or 5 months along at that time!

Today I am going to share with you a drink that will help flatten out your tummy. It’s powerful stuff!

There are only 3 ingredients, Cranberry Juice, ground flax, and water!

Let’s just say if you are in the need for a “spring clean”, and long to fit into your skinny jeans again, then this is the drink for you!

The Magic of Flax

Fiber to the rescue!

Flax has so many benefits it’s hard to know where to start!

What is so super about Flax seeds are that they are a super rich source of dietary fiber.

Flax=Fiber, and most of us are not getting near enough fiber! Just one tablespoon of flaxmeal contains 8 grams of fiber!

When you make this drink, make sure you start out slow, you can always add more later:)

I’m a visual person, so I like to imagine flax as a little pressure washing guy who helps clean the “pipes”in your body. You know all the “dirt and gunk from all the BAD food we eat that blocks our natural beautiful energy flow. The great thing about this drink is after a few days you will notice you have tons more Energy!

Super high in plant based omega-3 fatty acids

Omega 3’s are essential fatty acids that help reduce inflammation in the body, increase brain function and reduce heart disease and arthritis. This is something our bodies don’t produce naturally so if you aren’t already incorporating this superfood into your diet then it’s time to get your flax on!

Flax seeds are super cheap! Flax seeds are super cheap and you can buy them in bulk at health food stores. I grind them in my Vitamix and it turns into flax meal that I keep in a glass jar with a lid.

You can also use a coffee grinder as well as your magic bullet or other high speed blender. You can also buy around ground flax meal as well.

Here’s the deal. You need to grind them because they are so small that they pass straight through your body.

Cranberries are awesome!

This drink is such a great one because it includes cranberry juice. You want to make sure you buy on with no added sugar! Northland is a good choice and is available at most supermarkets.

  • A good choice for weight loss as it is low in suger
  • Immune booster
  • Aids in digestion
  • Improve bone health (surprisingly, cranberries are a good source of calcium)
  • Reduces risk of cancer

Cranberry Flax Flush Recipe

Ingredients
– Cranberry juice (make sure it has “no sugar added” NOT the same as sugar free- we don’t want to drink rat poison).
– Ground flax meal
– Water

Directions:
1. In a 1 liter bottle add ½ to 1 cup cranberry juice.
2. Add 1 Tablespoon Flax meal (if you find that this is working a little to much, then you may want to add a little less flax meal).
3. Fill the rest up with water.

You will need to shake your bottle before each time you drink as the flax will settle at the bottom of your container.

Drink this throughout the day for a week
